Sectional Garge Doors in Lancashire and Yorkshire – Fitting and Repairs
As the name suggests, sectional garage doors comprise a number of horizontal sections which retract onto overhead tracks when the garage door is opened.
Plenty of space inside and outside the garage
The biggest benefit of having a sectional door is the fact that it rises vertically meaning that there is plenty of space inside and in front of the garage – very handy if you have a short driveway or more than one car. Sectional doors typically give you up to 14cm extra width on the garage door opening compared with a canopy door. This makes them a popular choice for owners of wider cars or SUVs.
Beautiful streamlined designs in sturdy steel
Hormann sectional garage doors are manufactured of tough galvanised steel and are available in 4 designs – panelled, large rib, medium rib or small rib. The lines between each section are practically invisible, giving a beautiful streamlined finish. Sectional garage doors can even incorporate glazing in the top panels if required.
All doors are supplied ready-coated in a white, durable maintenance-free polyester paint as standard and in a choice of either woodgrain (rustic-look) or silkgrain (smooth) finishes. Ready-finished coloured doors are also available. If your house has coloured uPVC or natural hardwood doors and windows, you might want to consider a sectional garage door in Hormann’s Decograin finish. This is a foil-coated woodgrain laminate finish which emulates the texture and beauty of natural wood, but is virtually maintenance-free. Should you prefer the real thing, however, ask me about Hormann’s real timber sectional doors.
Weatherproof and secure
Each Hormann sectional door is fitted with a 4cm plastic frame shoe to prevent rust and waterlogging and has weather-resistant seals on all four sides of the door. All doors incorporate safety features as standard. Anti-lift security in automatic sectional doors prevents attempted forced entry for additional peace of mind.
